Please be advised about the following travel information

  1. ESSENTIAL PASSENGER INFORMATION ON COVID 19 (Kenya)

The Kenyan Ministry of Health has issued the below requirements for passengers disembarking in Kenya and on transit via international airports in Kenya:

  • All passengers arriving and transiting Kenya must have a nucleic acid test (PCR) Covid-19 negative certificate for a test conducted 96 hours prior to travel
  • All passengers must have the Covid 19 Vaccination Certificate or Card.
  • Passengers whose certificates expire while on transit will be required to deposit their passport with the airport port health authorities and facilitate testing in a recognized facility, at their own cost.
  • The mandatory Ministry of Health traveler’s health service online form must be filled out and submitted prior to travel. The form can be accessed via the following link – https://ears.health.go.ke/airline_registration/
  • Guests disembarking in Nairobi shall be released from the aircraft in batches of thirty to avoid overcrowding the screening area
  • All guests are advised to strictly follow covid-19 prevention protocols at all airports and inside the aircraft.

TURKISH AIRLINES WILL BE RECOMMENCING THE ISTANBUL STOPOVER

  1. Turkish Airlines will be recommencing the Istanbul stopover for International – IST – International passengers traveling from Ethiopia – USA, Canada, Amsterdam, Moscow, Geneva, Stockholm.

What is the Stopover In Istanbul? A stopover is where passengers stop in a city on the way to their final destination, and spend more than 20 hours in that city before continuing their journey. With a stopover, passengers can discover Istanbul while waiting for their next flight.

How does a stopover work in Istanbul ? Passengers benefit from a stopover free accommodation service by sending an e-mail to the mail address as stated below which is designated according to their departure point stating name & surname, reservation code (PNR) or ticket number, date range for the anticipated accommodation, preferred room type (single, double or triple), telephone and e-mail address at least 72 hours before their first flight.

Free Accommodation Passengers stay in a five star hotel for two days on Business Class trips, and in a four star hotel for one day on Economy Class trips, free of charge. They can enjoy the city to the fullest extent at Istanbul’s exclusive hotels which we collaborate with.
