ILRI Ethiopia Official Holidays

Dear Colleagues,

Please be advised that the following dates will be observed as official holidays of ILRI Ethiopia:

  • Ethiopian New Year will be observed on Saturday, 11 September 2021. Since this official holiday falls on Saturday, the preceding Friday, 10 September 2021 will be observed as a holiday;
  • The finding of the True Cross (Meskel) will be observed on Monday, 27 September 2021.

Please note that if a public holiday falls on a Saturday, the preceding Friday will be observed as a holiday. If it falls on a Sunday, the following Monday will be observed as a holiday. Holidays with asterisk marks may change depending on the visibility of the moon. If a change in date happens, it will be notified separately or the date that may be announced on the Ethiopian mass media will be observed.
