Please find the blow updates regarding china entry requirements

1. Starting from 3rd October 2020, all Chinese and foreign passengers departing from or transiting via Addis Ababa on China-bound flights are required to take nucleic acid tests within 72 hours (the date of the sample collecting instead of the date of the test certificate).

2. Chinese citizen passengers are required to produce the health code on their mobile phones after they acquired the negative COVID-19 test result (Ethiopian Airlines will keep one copy of the test result). Only the GREEN Health Code is accepted for plane boarding. RED Health Code (not passed), GREY Health Code (invalid), and YELLOW Health Code (submitted and waited for approval) are not allowed for plane boarding. 3. Non-Chinese citizen passengers are required to produce the Paper Health Declaration Form Sealed by the Chinese Embassy in Ethiopia. An example of the form is shown in Attachment Two.

In some cases, some Chinese passengers may have the internet problem and can’t upload their Health Code, the Chinese Embassy will then issue them the paper Health Declaration form instead.

4. Transit passengers will be applied to the same policy as mentioned above. Otherwise, they will be refused to board planes from their destination.
