The Liaison Office has been inundated with requests for support letters to fast track Ethiopian passport applications for staff and family members. Due to the high volume of letters we produce daily, we can only accept requests for those who have to travel for official purposes and for family members that have an emergency trip.

It is advisable to have a valid passport at all times, even those who do not have immediate travel plans should hold a valid passport. Hence, we encourage staff to apply early for new passports/renewals prior to travel. At present, the average turnaround time for processing passport applications is 50-60 working days.
