Dear All,

You may have noticed that we have a lot of construction activities on the campus these days- this is just the beginning of many exciting facilities improvement for our campus. Please visit the unit yammer page for the pictures and for regular updated on our progress.  Here are some updates on the major ones.

Zebu toilet: the construction for the refurbishing for the zebu toilet and shower area just started this week. currently the contractor is working on the temporary toilet which will be ready for next week. MTG is the contractor who is doing the refurbishment work and the project is expected to be finalized by end of April 2019.

VIP tukul and three tukul renovation: the construction for the refurbishment of the VIP tukul and for three houses started on end of last year. Vertex is the contractor who is doing the work. For the three residents the work is mainly on the kitchen and toilet areas but for the VIP tukul it has new extension block and major renovation on the existing building. The work is expected to be finalized by end of April 2019.

Hostel C block: this is also renovation for the whole c block by modifying internal partitions and replacement of all finishing materials i.e ceiling, bath room fixtures, light fixture, floor and wall tiles. It will also have one disabled-friendly room, and additional features i.e fire alarm Wi-Fi access for each rooms and others.  The contractor is Romadi construction and it was started at the beginning of this year and the work is expected to be finalized by end of April 2019.

Zebu bar:  you may have seen that the old bar area of zebu is covered for some renovation work. The renovations is mainly for the bar countertop, bar equipment and accessories. The work started at the beginning of this month by MTG construction and expected to be finalized by end of April 2019.

Sport field: it is un upgrading work done the existing sport field found at the back of the Sululta (gene-bank) building. The work is started end of last year by Ramadi construction and currently the remaining work is spectator sitting area and some minor cleaning up works. We hope that it will be ready for public by end of April 2019.

Modern irrigation system: we are installing pop up sprinkler and drip irrigation system in some selected public areas i.e., zebu lawn, cafeteria lawn and football field etc. It is a type of irrigation system that has potential to save water by placing water directly to the root zone and minimize evaporation and deliver water precisely and efficiently throughout the garden areas.  the installation work is undertaking by NetAgro engineering and started around beginning of this year and expected to be finalized by end of May 2019.
