I’m really pleased to inform you that we look forward to welcoming Michael Victor as our incoming head of CKM. Michael will start work with ILRI in early 2019 and will be based in Addis, although initially undertaking some work remotely (from Laos) for the first few months of the year.
Michael has worked in research and development for more than 20 years focusing on communication, knowledge management, policy engagement and project design in the agriculture and natural resource management sector. From 2010-2016 he was the communication and knowledge management coordinator for the CGIAR Challenge Program on Water and Food and the CGIAR Research Program on Water, Land and Ecosystems He is currently the Chief Technical Advisor/Team Leader of The Agro-Biodiversity Initiative (TABI) based in Lao PDR. He has three daughters with ages 26, 16 and 12.
Michael has worked with many people at ILRI and tells me he is looking forward to building collaborative and productive relationships with ILRI scientists and staff. We’ll have a chance to officially welcome Michael early in 2019, so this is really advance notice to allow plans to be put in place for his arrival.
Best wishes
