Two calls for proposals open for application under HUC at ICIMOD

The HUC Transboundary Rivers of Asia (TROSA) Water Research Grant, is a joint call for proposals issued by ICIMOD’s Himalayan University Consortium (HUC) Initiative and Oxfam’s Transboundary Rivers of South Asia (TROSA) project on transboundary water resources governance in the Ganges-Brahmaputra-Meghna (GBM) and Salween basins. ICIMOD has partnered with Oxfam on the TROSA project under its Regional Programme on River Basins and Cryosphere and the Himalayan University Consortium Initiative.

The submission deadline for the SDC HUC Focus Grants has been extended to 21 May 2018.
Interested applicants must register as a user in the HUC online portal to submit an application. http://huc-hkh.org/user/register

Thematic Areas Transboundary water resource governance
Geographical Focus Ganges, Brahmaputra, Meghna, and Salween river basins
Eligibility & Requirements HUC full members in Bangladesh, India, Myanmar and Nepal; involving at least two full members in two countries. HUC members from China are encouraged to take part on a resource-sharing basis.
Size of Grant USD 30,000
Duration 18 months

Call for Proposals: SDC HUC Focus Grants
Thematic Areas Climate Change and Adaptation in the Hindu Kush Himalayas
Eligibility & requirements Led by a HUC full member, in partnership with another HUC full member in a different country; implementation must involve Swiss expertise.
Size of grant USD 25,000 – USD 35,000 per grant (for all partners in one grant)
Duration 12 to 15 months
Start date 15 June 2018
Deadline for proposals 21 May 2018
