Dear Colleagues
When the time recording module of OCS was rolled out, many of you said that it was not very helpful in providing you with the information that you need to help monitor and manage how you spend your time. We have been revising the module, taking into account your comments to make it more helpful to you. In addition to recording which project budget (activity) you spend your time on, you will also be able to record the type of work you are doing. A series of reports can be generated at individual, project, program and institute levels. You will be able to see how you spend your time.
In December 2017 I alerted you that the updated system would be rolled out in January. We identified some bugs in the updated system but they have now been resolved and this week we will begin a series of training workshops.
To help you familiarize with the revised system, we’ve planned a series of training workshops starting this Thursday. Please use the link below to register for one of the sessions and make plans to attend. Each sessions will only be 2 hours.

Please ensure you attend one of these sessions. As I noted in my December update, we want to record time in the revised system from January 2018. So once you have attended one of the sessions you will be expected to complete the data from 1 January.
Best Wishes
