A thematic portfolio on rangelands, drylands and pastoralism is launched.

It provides:

• access to wide range of indicators and statistics from major global databases including the United Nations Environment World Conservation Monitoring Centre (UNEP-WCMC) and the World Database on Protected Areas (WDPA).
• an up-to-date snapshots of current issues and trends in relation to rangelands, drylands and pastoralism.
•  relevant news, blogs, debates and information on upcoming events.
• a new narrative on rangelands by Fiona Flintan, Senior Scientist on Rangelands Governance for the International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI) and Coordinator of the global component of the ILC Rangelands Initiative.
• more than 2,000 publications on rangelands.

The Land Portal Foundation and the International Land Coalition (ILC) Rangelands Initiative launched the thematic portfolio to address challenges in relation to rangelands, drylands and pastoralism.
