Dear Colleagues,
I place huge value on our excellent staff and recognise the role that each one of you plays in achieving our vision and mission. From time to time we will undertake staff engagement surveys in order to provide every member of staff an opportunity to give their views about ILRI as a place to work. This is in recognition that the better we manage people, the more effective our overall impact.
It is not only important that we hear the views of our people but also act on your feedback; this helps us do more of what we do well and work together on areas we want to improve. In light of this please access the presentation detailing the findings from the last survey and the initiatives/activities we have implemented, which you will find on the P&OD microsite – https://ilri.org/pod
Today we launch the Employee Engagement Survey 2017 and it will be administered by an external party, Agenda Consulting, based in the UK.
The survey is:
- Easy to complete: It is online and staff will be able to complete it from anywhere including on their smart phones and tablets as long as there is internet connectivity. Due to intermittent connectivity in some of the regions in Ethiopia and to encourage participation, we will also have paper copies in both English and Amharic. The survey should take no more than 15 minutes.
- Completely confidential: Online versions will go direct to Agenda and sealed paper copies will be sent directly by registered mail to Agenda Consulting. Responses cannot be tracked back to individuals and results will not be attributable to specific members of staff; care has been taken to ensure that staff groups are large enough so that anonymity is preserved
- The survey will run from today 31st May to 23rd June: After which the information will be analysed by Agenda Consulting and results shared: Agenda shall provide a report which will not only give the results of staff views but also benchmark these by comparing them with the findings from the last survey as well with other CGIAR centres who have conducted the survey;
I have great pleasure in inviting you to complete our 2017 Employee Engagement Survey; the link is: http://ilristaffsurvey.org/ and the password is ILRI2017
We seek to make ILRI a rewarding place to work and one which makes a real difference to the lives of its staff. I kindly urge you to complete this survey so that everyone has a voice in the future of ILRI. Together we can make a difference.
