Updated ILRI fellowship procedures

ILRI’s revised graduate fellowship guidelines were put in place in November 2013. As anticipated at that time, implementation of these guidelines led to identification of a number of issues and challenges to be addressed to make them up-to-date, relevant and to ensure that there are processes to follow if exceptional cases arise. Accordingly, Iddo and the CapDev team have worked through a number of consultation processes across ILRI, with individual program leaders, ILRI Research Management Committee (IRMC) and IMC and more recently with a small task force to review and revise the guidelines. I am thus pleased to share with you here the revised ILRI fellowship procedures which were approved by IMC on 2 December 2016 and will be effective 1 January 2017.

Many thanks to Iddo and the team and to all who participated in the consultations that have led to the revised procedures which will further contribute to ILRI’s mission, given the importance of capacity development as both a strategic objective and a critical success factor.

With best wishes.
