It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of our colleague Aklilu Bogale, on Saturday, 20 August 2016.

Aklilu Bogale’s employment in ILCA/ILRI was as follows:

From 16 January 2013 up to 20 August 2016, regular staff as a Database Analyst in Livestock & Irrigation Value Chains for Ethiopian Smallholders (LIVES) Project, Addis Ababa.

“    16 August 2004 to 31 December 2013 as regular staff in Improved Productivity and Market Success for Ethiopian Farmers (IPMS) Project, Addis Ababa

“    1 July 1996 to 15 August 2004 as regular staff Program Support Debre Zeit

“    1 February 1990 to 30 June 1996 as temporary staff at Program Support Debre Zeit

Aklilu was evacuated for further medical treatment to Bangkok, Thailand.  We express our most sincere condolences to his family.  Aklilu Bogale will be remembered for his invaluable services to ILRI.

His funeral ceremony took place on Sunday, 21 August 2016.

His residence is located at Yeka Sub-City, Woreda 09 and House No- 510, on the new road to 02, next to Academy for Excellence.

May God rest his soul in eternal peace.
