Tomorrow the 23rd of July ILRI Addis Engineering and Facility Unit has planned to undertake the following activities intended to upgrade and enhance the power supply & distribution:
- Surge arrest connection on various areas of the campus to prevent or minimize damage as a result of lightning which is inevitable during the winter season. The installation will take place on a board near Gene bank, Admin, B block, Washera Bldg. and motor pool.
- 400KVA additional load connection and testing.
- Alternative power cable connection to server room through Admin board and Washera Bldg., this will help in case of any power supply route fails to supply server room and Gene bank
During the installation, power will be disconnected for about 2 hrs. only before noon.
