CIP Nairobi – Disposal of CIP vehicle – KX23A33

Dear Colleagues,

I hope this email find you well.

This is to inform you that CIP-Nairobi invites all interested staff to re-bid for the above vehicle by way of closed tender. A tender box will be set up in CIP offices – CIP Admin Officers’ office.

Key information:

  • Vehicle is duty-free, to be deregistered when purchased and civilian plates allocated.(Logbook available)
  • Vehicle will be sold on an “as-is-where-is” basis.
  • Vehicle has been valued by credited external valuers stating a disposal price.
  • Any staff member, who bids successfully, will be required to pay the full amount within 10 working days of the award; CIP will hand over the transfer documents and the logbook.
  • Vehicle Duty payment will be done by CIP once the buyer settles the sale price in full within the specified period.
  • Vehicle transfer, payment of GoK taxes and fees (successful bidders) will be done by new owner.
  • CIP reserves the right to award the vehicle to any staff member and this decision will be final.
  • The vehicle will be available for viewing at ILRI parking until 05th July 2016.
  • Bids can be dropped in the tender box (CIP Offices) during the viewing period but the closing date for all bids is COB 05st July 2016 . The closing date will be observed regardless of any unforeseeable extension.
  • Bids will be opened in the CIP meeting room on Wednesday 6th July 2016 at 3 p.m.
