This announcement is to keep you informed about the progress on some of the started, finished and upcoming major construction activities inside the campus.
- New gymnasium: This is a New G+1 gymnasium building a total of around 660 m2 also includes steam and sauna rooms which will be inaugurated on Monday 18th of April 2016. This new gym is expected to give service on May 2016.
- The contractor (Israel Kidane B.C) started the work in February 2015 and completed in April 2016.
- Bio- safety level 2 and office block: This is the construction of a G+1 office and laboratory building total of around 215 m2 for gene-bank.
- The contractor (Israel Kidane B.C) started the work in June 2015, planned to finish the construction by November 2016. So far the progress is more than 45%.
- Hostel D renovations: This is a renovation work on 6 hotel houses.
- The contractor (Andualem Kebere B.C) has started the work in December 2015 planned to finish the construction by May 2016. The progress is around 50 %.
- Zebu expansion: This is an expansion work for zebu club including new kids play area.
- The contractor (Israel Kidane B.C) is expected to start in May 2016 planned to finish the construction by September 2016.
- Projects full design work completed: These are major projects planned and all design discipline work are completed and expected to be done in near future.
- Motor Pool Renovation: This is a nearly 500 m2 G+1 Office construction work which includes a beautiful landscaping and parking area.
- Security post: A complete design work for new guard house nearly 1500 m2 is completed. These design includes a security offices, CCTV room, reception and information desk, other related facilities with a fascinating landscape, pedestrian gate and parings spaces.
- Other medium size buildings: I.e., laundry remodeling, K-span construction, gardening works on different areas and jogging routs design works are completed and also expected to be constructed in a very near future.
