Johannes Osarya has been appointed as Field Coordinator for the Tanzania smallholder dairy value chain research for development (Maziwa Zaidi) Program. Johannes is a holder of BSc agriculture degree with specialization in animal science at MSc level, both from Sokoine University of Agriculture. He has many years of experience in program management and knowledge of dairy and other agricultural product value chains in Tanzania gained from previous work with various organizations including World Vision International, Care International, Eastern Africa Grain Council and Land O’ Lakes, Inc. He has experience as field extension supervisor and in working with partners and stakeholders to build effective relationships to achieve project objectives. Johannes’ focus will mainly be geared towards generating learning across Maziwa Zaidi pilot activities, in particular lead the implementation of monitoring and learning under More Milk in Tanzania (MoreMilkiT) project that aims to upgrade pre-commercial milk producers and value chains to become more commercial; prepare related knowledge sharing products; and, manage client and stakeholder relationships.
