We are pleased to introduce the ILRI Nairobi Health and Safety Representatives. These are staff elected or selected to represent occupational health and safety interests within their respective units. Their roles include but are not limited to :
- Identification and reporting of workplace hazards
- Making recommendations on health and safety improvements
- Carry out activities for the promotion of occupational safety, health and welfare in the workplace.
- Attend the health and safety committee monthly meetings.
The health and safety representatives are focal points for all occupational health and safety issues at the department/unit level.
