ILRI Ethiopia staff appointments: January–March 2016

Solomon Wakjira has been appointed as Life Guard in Housing, Catering, Conference Services and Zebu ClubSolomon Wakjira and Environmental, Occupational Health & Safety effective 15 January 2016.  Solomon has Diploma in Accounting and Bookkeeping from Technical & Vocational Education in 1994 and he has certificates for attending Life Saving training from Ethiopian Swimming Federation, coaching swimming Course from International Olympic Committee in 2006.  Before joining ILRI, he was working as temporary Coach and Life Guard at Zebu Club in ILRI.

 

Daniel Aramede has been appointed as Life Guard in Housing, Catering, Conference Services and Zebu CDaniel Aramedelub and Environmental, Occupational Health & Safety effective 23 January 2016.  Daniel completed high school and he has certificates for attending a training on swimming Life Saving course at the Ethiopian Swimming Federation. Before joining ILRI, he was working as a Life Guard and Swimming Coach at Hilton Addis Ababa Hotel, Ethiopia.

 

 

Hiwot Desta has been appointed as Research Assistant III in Animal Science for Sustainable Productivity (ASSP)Hiwot Desta effective 8 February 2016.  Hiwot holds PhD degree in Animal Feed and Food Safety from Universita Degli Studi Di Milano, Milano, Italy in 2014, MSc degree in Tropical Animal Production and Health Addis Ababa University, Debre Zeit, Ethiopia in 2010 and BSc degree in Animal Science from Haramaya University of Agriculture, Ethiopia in 2008.  Before she was given this position, she was working as a temporary Research Assistant in ILRI.

 

Luelseged Ayalew has been re-employed as Driver in Animal Science for Sustainable Productivity Program (ASSP), N2 Africa Project effective 23 February 2016.  Luelseged completed high school and he has a certificate in Electricity from Entoto AcaLuelseged Ayalewdemic Technical and Vocational School. Before joining ILRI, he was working as a temporary Driver and previously he was serving as Auto Electrician in the International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI), Ethiopia.

 

 

 

Kelem Mamo has been appointed as Office Assistant/Messenger in Animal Biosciences Program, AfricanKelem Mamo Chicken Genetic Gains (ACGG) effective 10 March 2016.  Kelem completed high school and she has certificates for attending short term trainings on Hygiene Sanitation and Safety, Work Ethics and Food Preparation and Service from Addis Ababa Culture and Tourism Bureau.  Before joining ILRI, she was working as a temporary Office Assistant in ILRI.
