OCS update: we’re LIVE!

Last week We started to go live with the Travel and Procurement modules in Kenya and Ethiopia and so far all goes well; more and more orders are filled in on line in OCS and all seems to be working. Please keep on providing your feedback and questions to our service desk :  Servicedesk@CIARG.org

Off course the REAL go live date will only be in 2 weeks’ time, when we will seize to use our current book keeping program and also the paper trail of the mentioned processes: This will mean that from then onwards all will only be done in OCS.

In order to properly prepare this big shift, the finance department is involved in many trainings and will closing the September books early. This is creating a huge extra workload. Initially we thought we needed to declare a ‘black out period’ for this, stopping all payments and services for 1-2 weeks (as most other centers did when they went live).  However, in order to serve you better, we found a way to continue providing our services, we can however not avoid delays.  Therefore, for the next 2 weeks, please bear with us, and count on payments etc. taking longer than normal.  Please anticipate this by requesting Advance or payment orders a few days earlier than normal. This goes for both our campuses in Nairobi and Addis
