CIMMYT-Ethiopia is glad to introduce Terefe Fitta who joined CIMMYT as a Project Manager for Wheat Seed project, effective July 28, 2015. He holds MSc Degree in Economics (Addis Ababa University); BA Degree in Economics, (Addis Ababa University), Diploma in Agriculture, (Haramaya University — the then Alemaya University).

Terefe worked for the Ministry of Agriculture (MoA) and Ethiopian Institute of Agriculture (EIAR) and has vast experiences. Under the MoA of Ethiopia, he worked as a Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist in Eastern African Agricultural Productivity Project (EAAPP) coordinating M&E activities in 9 Regional States and 2 City Administrations (AA & Dire Dawa) of project intervention areas; working in the sub-regional M&E activities in Eastern Africa countries (Ethiopia, Kenya, Kenya and Tanzania). Again,under the (MoA) of Ethiopia, he worked as a Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist inRural Capacity Building Project (RCBP) in all regions of project intervention areas; worked in salary & benefit unit in CIDA – ECCO, in collaboration with Canada–CIDA. Terefe also had vast work experiences while with the Ethiopian Institute of Agriculture (EIAR) HQs being as a Socio-economic Researcher and Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation Expert and worked as Technical Assistant at Pawe and Holetta Research Centers of EIAR and travelled to many parts of the country.
