Time to register your vehicles to park on the ILRI Ethiopia Campus

To all ILRI Ethiopia campus users:

To park on campus, register your vehicle at
ILRI Ethiopia Vehicle Registration & Parking Permit Form

As was mentioned in a previous email, to address the shortage of parking on campus, the Engineering & Facilities Unit and the Security Unit are implementing a new parking scheme for the campus to better utilize the parking we have. In this scheme, we are limiting overnight parking to certain vehicles in specific locations, and reserving all areas marked green for staff. Visitors will be limited to yellow parking zones. Security will start enforcing the new parking scheme by 15 August.

Here is what you need to know:

Parking Zones

You may have noticed color coded parking zones have been created throughout the campus.

  • Green Zones will be for permanent & temporary staff parking. During the day, project & institutional vehicles may park in the green zones in order to conduct their business. No overnight parking will be allowed in the green zones.
  • Yellow Zones will be for visitor parking only. No overnight parking will be allowed in the yellow zones.
  • Red Zones will be for overnight parking. This area will primarily be for project and institutional vehicles which need to park overnight on campus. Staff who temporarily need to leave their personal vehicles on campus overnight may apply for a temporary overnight pass.
