Just to keep you all updated on the OCS developments:
During the last month our team has been vigorously testing all OCS modules with a big group of users from various departments. Thanks to the great input of these users, we were able to make a lot of improvements to the system and are now again a big step closer to implementation.
Unfortunately we encountered some serious connectivity issues that caused some delays in our planning but in 2 weeks we should have finalized the final tests and be ready for the next phase of our implementation plan. In the meantime we are solving the connectivity issues and also working hard on the data migration and on transferring balances and transactions from our current SUN bookkeeping into OCS, so that we will have real actual data available to use for our next steps:
The next (simultaneous) steps are:
- Planning all the training sessions that will have to take place in July/august;
- Starting to develop all reports that users identified as needed;
- Going live with timesheet registration with a small group of volunteers (currently being ‘recruited’)
So by next month’s update I hope to present you with a confirmation of the actual go-live date and tell you more about the training plans and the timesheets.
