Invitation to all ILRI staff: Jo Cadilhon’s farewell concert Sunday 28 June 3pm Nairobi Alliance Française

Jo Cadilhon presents his farewell concert to Nairobi: Melodies and Chansons about Livestock

Sunday 28 June 3pm at the Alliance Française Auditorium, Loita / Monrovia Streets, CBD, Nairobi.

Free entrance!

For the past three years Jo Cadilhon has been based in Nairobi at the International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI) to undertake research on livestock marketing chains in Africa and Asia. After work, he spent many enjoyable hours doing music with the Nairobi Music Society and the Greenwood Singers. Jo is about to leave Kenya to go back to France and work within the French Ministry of Agriculture. He decided to mix ‘livestock’, ‘singing’ and ‘France’ into a short musical programme for his farewell concert to Nairobi.

With some friends from the Greenwood Singers and James Laight at the piano, he will introduce you to the mysteries of livestock through melodies and songs from France, England, Germany, Sweden, the USA and Kenya. Join them to hear chicken gossiping, be amazed by the story of the incredible Derby ram, understand why some people do not eat pork, and find out what happened to Polly the milkmaid as she was going to market.
