Getachew Bisrat has been appointed as Assistant Site Coordinator in Africa RISING Project at Maychew effective 1 September 2014. Getachew holds BSc degree in Disaster Risk Management and Sustainable Development from Yardstick International Open and Distance Learning College (2011) and Diploma in Plant Science from Maichew ATVET College, Ethiopia (2005). Before joining ILRI, he was working as Field Research Assistant in Ethiopian Institute of Agricultural Research at Mehoni Agricultural Research Center, Ethiopia.

Shimelis Mengistu has been appointed as Assistant Site Coordinator in Africa RISING Project at Debre Berhan effective 1 September 2014. Shimelis holds BSc degree in Animal Production and Rangeland Management from Hawassa University (2004). Before joining ILRI, he was working as Animal Nutrition Researcher at Areka Agricultural Research Center, Ethiopia.

Fikadu Tessema has been appointed as Assistant Site Coordinator in Africa RISING Project at Hosaena effective 1 September 2014. Fikadu holds BSc degree in Animal Science from Jimma University, Ethiopia (2011). Before joining ILRI, he was working as Animal Nutrition Researcher at South Agricultural Research Institute (SARI), Worabe Agricultural Research Center, Worabe, Ethiopia.

Sewasew Teferra has been appointed as Junior Accountant in Finance department effective 1 September 2014. Sewasew holds BA degree and Diploma in Accounting from Unity University, Ethiopia. She was working as Accountant in Finance office on temporary basis.

Bizuhan Alemayehu has been appointed as Office Assistant/Filing Clerk in Finance department effective 1 September 2014. Bizuhan holds Diploma from Entoto TVET College, Ethiopia (2009). Before joining ILRI, she was working as Secretary in Awash International Bank, Ethiopia.

Masresha Taye has been appointed as Research Officer in Livestock Systems and the Environment Program, Index Based Livestock Insurance (IBLI) effective 17 September 2014. Masresha holds MA degree in Regional and Local Development Studies from Addis Ababa University, Ethiopia (2008) and BA degree in Business Administration from Addis Ababa University (2006). Before joining ILRI, he was working as Senior Research Advisor in Save the Children International, Ethiopia Country office.

Endeshaw Tadesse has been appointed as Assistant Site Coordinator in Africa RISING Project at Bale Robe effective 24 September 2014. Endeshaw holds BSc degree in Plant Sciences (Crop Production) from Adama Science and Technology University, University, Ethiopia (2011). Before joining ILRI, he was working as Researcher in Ethiopian Institute of Agricultural Research at Bako National Maize Research Project, Ethiopia.

Demeke Wolde has been appointed as Transport Coordinator in Supply Chain unit effective 1 October 2014. Demeke holds BA degree in Development Management from Alpha University College, Ethiopia in 2010 and Diploma in Automotive Technology from Adama University, Ethiopia in 2000. Before joining ILRI, he was working as Supply Chain, Warehouse and Transport Manager in International Rescue Committee (IRC).

Tilaye Girma has been appointed as Security Group Leader in Security unit effective 1 October 2014. Tilaye completed secondary school and attended Military and Ground Force Communication training at Holeta Military academy Cadet Course and Debre Zeit, Ethiopia. Before joining ILRI, he was working as Coordinator of Security Service in Diplomatic and International Organizations at Agar Protection Service Private Co., Ethiopia.

Ayda Tegenu has been appointed as Administrative Assistant in Animal Bioscience Program effective 1 November 2014. Ayda holds BA degree in Management from Arba Minch University, Ethiopia (2010). Before joining ILRI, she was working as Engineering Unit Assistant in United Nations World Food Programme (UNWFP), Ethiopia.

Degefa Birru has been appointed as Driver in Animal Science for Sustainable Productivity – Africa RISING Project effective 1 November 2014. Degefa completed secondary school. He was working as a Driver in Africa RISING Project on temporary basis.
