Introducing Celestine Munyaneza and Irene Bayiyana

Celestine MunyanezaCelestine Munyaneza has joined the Livelihoods, Gender and Impact (LGI) Program as a DAAD Graduate Fellow at Sokoine University of Agriculture. Celestin’s research work toward PhD degree will be with MoreMikliT Project – ‘Adapting dairy market hubs for pro-poor Smallholder value chains in Tanzania’. ILRI will support Celestine through its offices in Nairobi and Dar es Salaam

Celestine holds a Msc. Animal Production & Sustainable Development/Engineering of Animal Production, Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine both from Inter-State School of Veterinary Sciences & Medicine of Dakar, Senegal.

Prior to joining ILRI – Tanzania, Celestin served as Supervisor of Investigation with ILRI, Senegal Dairy Genetics, Thies.


Irene Bayiyana

Irene Bayiyana has joined the Livelihoods, Gender and Impact (LGI) Program as a DAAD Graduate Fellow at the University of Dar es Salaam. Irene’s research work toward PhD degree will be on Monitoring and evaluating household welfare effects of dairy management hubs. ILRI will support Irene through its offices in Nairobi and Dar es Salaam

Irene holds a MSc. Agricultural Applied Economics from Makere University, Kampala (Uganda).

Prior to joining ILRI Irene has worked as an Assistant Research Fellow – IFPRI, Makerere University, Kampala (Uganda).
