First aid training in Kenya: October 21–23 2014

Being on the spot and responding quickly and effectively when faced with an emergency situation at work (or even at home) such as heart attacks, choking or electrocution makes First Aiders the heroes of the hour. For the accident victim, having someone nearby who is expertly trained to administer basic first aid is not only a legal requirement for businesses of all kinds and sizes, it also makes good community and commercial sense. Accidents happen, and having trained staff on hand means enhanced safety for all.

First Aid training is generally provided by attending a course, typically leading to certification. Due to regular changes in procedures and protocols-based updated clinical knowledge – as well as to maintain skills – attendance at regular refresher courses or re-certification is often necessary and a legal requirement.

This year, EOHS has organized for a 3-day first aid training fir ILRI Nairobi campus scheduled for October 21st to October 23rd, 2014. For those who would like to be trained as first aiders, please send an email to Ilrikenyaeohs expressing your interest on or before Friday October 10th, 2014.
