Residential fires, workplace fires, and environmental fires such as bush-fires can result in severe and fatal burn injuries. They also lead to property loss, psychological distress, and sometimes loss of life. Many studies have identified fire safety training as a way of increasing fire safety knowledge and improving response to fires with the aim of reducing the number of fire-related casualties. It is therefore important that people retain an adequate level of knowledge on fire safety.
EOHS has organized for a 3-day fire marshals training that will provide participants with a comprehensive knowledge on what actions to take in the vent of fire, evacuation procedures, practical demonstrations on escape routes and identification of fire hazards. Participants will also gain valuable ‘Hands On’ experience using different fire safety equipment.
This training is scheduled for October 28th to October 30th, 2014. If you would like to be trained as a fire marshal, please send an email to Ilrikenyaeohs expressing your interest on or before Friday October 10th, 2014.
