Patricia Chale joined ILRI as Director, People and Organization Development on 14 May 2014. Patricia has over 25 years’ experience in human resources management and organizational development acquired in the private, not for profit and public sectors (including working with central government and government bodies) across Africa, Europe, North America and the Middle East. She has successfully led on a number of large scale transformation programmes ensuring organizations are fit for purpose in discharging their mandates and meeting their objectives. Patricia has been a Visiting Lecturer at Westminster Business School and a Senior Associate of the National College of Government, the UK’s business school for the Civil Service. She is accredited in the application of a number of organizational development frameworks. Patricia holds a BSc (Hons) in Sociology, an MA in Human Resources Management, an MSc in Business Psychology and a Postgraduate Certificate in Teaching in Higher Education. She is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Personnel and Development and a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
Immaculate Omondi joined ILRI as a Scientist, Monitoring, Learning and Evaluation (MLE) on 9 June 2014. Immaculate holds a PhD. in Agricultural Economics from the University of Giessen, Germany, an MSc. degree in Agricultural Economics and a Bachelors degree in Agribusiness management from Egerton University, Kenya. Prior to joining ILRI, she worked as a Post-doctoral Research Fellow at ICIPE (International Centre of Insect Physiology and Ecology). Earlier in her career, she worked at ILRI as a Research Technician – Agricultural Economist, attached to East African Dairy Development project (phase 1) after completing her graduate fellowship at ILRI.
Gail Amare joined ILRI as the Head of Administration, Ethiopia campus on 12 June 2014. Gail holds an MSc degree in International Development Management from American University, School of International Service in Washington, D.C. and a B.A. degree in Public Affairs from Michigan State University’s James Madison College. Gail previously worked as the Director of Country Operations, Ethiopia for Management Sciences for Health in Addis Ababa and as an Assistant Vice President for Axiom Resource Management in the Washington, D.C. area. She is originally from Silver Lake, Kansas, USA.
