Endalkachew Wolde-Meskel joined ILRI as Country Coordinator for N2Africa Project, Ethiopia on 1 March 2014. Endalkachew has worked for over two decades in research and academia. He has been a visiting scientist and researcher at various universities in Europe and N. America and supervised more than 46 MSc and PhD students. He previously worked at Hawassa University, Ethiopia as an Associate Professor of Soil Microbiology at the School of Plant and Horticultural Sciences. His main expertise is on rhizobiology and on the N2-fixing symbiosis with legumes. He obtained his PhD from Norwegian University of Life Sciences, Norway and an MPhil from University Wales, Bangor, UK.
Anandan Samireddypalle joined ILRI as Scientist – Livestock Nutrition in Ibadan on 9 April 2014. Anandan has about 20 years of research experience in livestock nutrition in the National Agricultural Research system in India – Indian Council of Agricultural Research. His areas of expertise include regional and national feed assessments, enhancement of crop residue utilization and use of alternate feed resources. He has a PhD in Animal Nutrition from The Indian Veterinary Research Institute, Master of Veterinary Science in Animal Nutrition and Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry both obtained from Andhra Pradesh Agricultural University, Hyderabad, India.
Wellington Ekaya joined ILRI as Senior Scientist – Capacity Building for BecA-ILRI Hub on 15 April 2014. Wellington has over 10 years’ practical experience and engagement in agricultural issues and opportunities in at least 20 countries in Eastern, Central and Southern Africa, and at least 4 countries in West Africa. In the last 5 years he was intensively involved in processes for articulating research, training and capacity building needs and priorities in different regions of Africa. He holds PhD in Dryland Plant Ecology, Master of Science in Ruminant and Pasture Nutrition and Bachelor of Science in Range Management all obtained from University of Nairobi.
