Horizon 2020 is the European Union’s main instrument for funding research and innovation activities over the next seven years (2014 to 2020). It focuses on three overarching priorities – excellent science, industrial leadership and societal challenges, and is due to be launched by the end of 2013.
Recognizing the increasing importance of internationalisation in how knowledge is produced and used as well as the global nature of the many societal challenges requiring research and innovation solutions.
