Ephrem holds PHD in Social Anthropology from University of Basel, MA & BA degree in Social Anthropology and Foreign Language and Literature from Addis Ababa University. Before Joining as a regular staff he was working as a Consultant in ILRI LIVES Project.
Parmilia Yeshitella has been appointed as a Program Assistant in Livestock and Irrigation Value-Chains for Ethiopian Smallholders (LIVES) Project effective 1 January 2013. Parmilia holds MSc degree in Business Information Technology, Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management and BSc degree in Computer, Mathematics and Electronics from University of Mysore. Before Joining as a regular staff she was working as a Program Assistant on a temporary basis in ILRI LIVES Project.
Fanos Mekonnen has been appointed as a Knowledge Management and Communication Expert in Livestock and Irrigation Value-Chains for Ethiopian Smallholders (LIVES) Project effective 1 January 2013. Fanos holds MSc degree in Management of Agro-ecological Knowledge and Social Change from Wageningen University and BSc degree in Animal Production and Rangeland Management from Debub University. Before Joining as a regular staff she was working as a Consultant in ILRI LIVES Project.
Mekdes Sime has been appointed as a Senior Administrative Assistant in International Centre for Research in Agroforestry (ICRAF) effective 14 January 2013. Mekdes has Diploma in Foreign Language and Literature (English) Addis Ababa University and Secretarial Science and Office Management from Addis Ababa University College of Commerce. Before joining ICRAF she was working as a Team Assistant – Short Term Consultancy in World Bank – Ethiopia Country office.
Yilkal Beza has been appointed as a Driver in International Potato Center (CIP) effective 8 February 2013. Yilkal has a valid 3rd driving license. Before joining CIP as a regular staff he was working as a driver on a Temporary Contract basis in International Potato Center (CIP).

Abule holds PHD in Grassland Science from University of Orange Free State, MSc degree in Animal Production from Alemaya University and BSc degree in Animal Sciences from Addis Ababa University. Before joining ILRI he worked as a Senior Researcher in Oromia Agricultural Research Institute Adami Tulu Agricultural Research Center.

Tadelle Dessie has been appointed as a Scientist –Animal Genetics/Breeding effective 1 April 2013. He has more than 20 years experience in teaching, research and development in various national and international research and development organizations. He has a PhD in Animal Genetics and Breeding from Humboldt University of Berlin in Germany and an MSc in Sustainable Tropical Animal Production Systems from Swedish University of Agriculture in Sweden. During the last 8 years of service at ILRI, Tadelle has worked as a Senior Research Officer, where he has been involved in the areas of knowledge management, capacity building and implemented projects, which are of research for development in nature and served the institute at various capacities. Tadelle is from Ethiopia.
Tigist Woldehanna has been appointed as a Technical Assistant in Feed and Forages Biosciences – Forage Diversity in ILRI effective 17 April 2013. Tigist holds Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology from Africa Medical College. Before joining as a regular employee she was working as a Technical Assistant on a Temporary Contract basis in ILRI Forage Diversity.

Before joining ILRI he worked as a Research Technician Assistant II in Ethiopia Institute of Agricultural Research – Holetta Agricultural Center.
Kassahun Melaku has been appointed as a Driver in International Center for Agricultural Research in the Dry Areas (ICARDA) effective 1 May 2013. Kassahun holds Diploma Electronics Technology and has a valid 5th grade driving license. Before joining ICARDA he worked as a Driver in ILRI Transport unit.

Tesfaye holds MSc degree in Irrigation and Water Management from Wageningen University and BSc degree in Agriculture (Plant Science) from Addis Ababa University. Before joining ILRI he worked as an Acting Head of Hawassa Plant Health Laboratory at South Nations, Nationalities and Peoples Regional State (SNNPRS), Bureau of Agriculture.

Henok Abiye has been appointed as a Senior Human Resources Assistant on Consultancy contract in Human Resources effective May 6, 2013. Henok holds a BA degree in Public Administration and Development Management from Addis Ababa University and Diploma in Human Resources from Addis Ababa University School of Commerce. Before joining ILRI, he was working as a Manager, HR Optimization and Leadership Development in ZTE Corporation – Ethiopia/ Telecommunications. Henok will be required to assist recruitment and induction related activities.
Tadios Tekalign has been appointed as a Senior Human Resources Assistant on Consultancy contract in Human Resources effective May 6, 2013. Tadios holds a BA degree in Public Administration from Addis Ababa University. Before he joined ILRI, he was working as a Human Resources Assistant in International Organization for Migration (IOM). Tadios will be responsible to assist in compensation & benefits, performance management & training & development initiatives.

Before joining ILRI he worked as a Head of Agricultural and Rural Development in Bureau of Tigray Agriculture and Rural Development.
